“You can’t teach a man anything. You can only help him discover it within himself.” Galileo.
It’s another way of saying the popular adage about not giving a man bread to pass his hunger but instead teach him how to fish so he can live on his own. It’s the same with life experience and achieving happiness.
A man can read so many books and imagine all the feeling of happiness, success, sadness, hurt, anger and all emotion he can read about but unless he got the actual experience all he have are theories and he can never truly tell how it feels to be in a certain situation.
Success is sweeter when one knows how frustrating temporary setbacks and failure is. Learning is an active experience and not a passive one.
I don’t approve of labeling people winners and losers because there is no such thing. But I agree labeling rude, inconsiderate, disrespectable, chauvinist and b with itches as losers because they don’t give importance to other people.
Every human is born unique with different abilities and traits despite seemingly manifesting similarities. Everyone is born as something new, something that never existed before and was born to have the capacity to achieve his full capabilities in life. We are all born with our unique way of hearing, seeing, feeling, tasting, touching and thinking. Everyone has potentials, capabilities and limitations to make him significant and a creative and productive being.
No other person can think, create and decide for you. You stir the wheel to the path where your life is heading. You choose what is important to hang on and let go. You make a decision when to attain it. You decide when to act on it.
To achieve the happiness and success you desire you must ask yourself what you really want to happen. We often neglect or find shallow answers to this question but we never took time to think deeply about it.
Ask this question as many times as you could to yourself, reflect and meditate on it. What is it as a that I truly, madly, deeply want in life? What is the reason behind wanting it this much? Do you think your life will be much happier when you realize this desire? Does achieving it give you temporary high or long term happiness? What is important to you the long term or the short term?
When you don’t know where you’re going you will probably end up nowhere. Fleeting from place to place, time to time, person to person, experiencing the moment but not the intensity of living and your purpose of living.

Earth,
I believe in labeling people EVIL.
Sorry... I'm still so pissed off and so angry about that Austria sex dungeon thing.
I just can't get over how horrible that man was and still is.
He still shows no remorse.

I am the captain of my ship :)
Hi Pie,
It's ok no worries but yup he is evil.
Bobby,
Hmmmm yes we are the captain of our ship but also we learn some not just remember.
I certainly agree, girl!
It's always a battle of knowing the right thing and just when you thought you have had enough and that you think you have learned, but then you are still caught up with the same struggle... the art of living is really endless!
I have tagged you: A question for You @ http://anemptycup.blogspot.com/2008/05/kids-question-for-you.html
have a great day!
your posts really show how passionate you are about writing, and what you are writing is so deep and yes, it's like nails that are hammered right into my brain.
You have the right tips for how to live life to the fullest, setbacks included. thanks, gorgeous!
My view is that success can only be achieved in life if one actually falls down and gets hurt emotionally during the process. These emotions teach us great lessons that need to be learned.
A baby will never learn that something is dangerous or wrong if they don't experience the physical or emotional pain of the event. Same scenario with adults - we only learn through pain, and most of us become pretty complacent with our successes, that we completely disregard the lessons that are there to be learned.
You present some wise words on this blog. I hope to read more of your insights into the workings of the human mind in the future :)
Hi Shawie:)
I'll drop by your blog soon :) sounds like an intersting tag :) and yes problems will always be there as long as we live, I tell this to my mom all the time what would you like to live with problems or no problems but be dead :P always works hahaha!
Hi Spinx,
Thanks for the kind words, the things I write here are the things I also contemplate on. I am really glad that when I write it all down in here someone else catches it and learn same time as I do.
Hi Adam!
Thank you for the compliment of enjoying my blog, hope to see you more in here too.
It's true though that a lesson will not be learned well unless it was learned the hard way.
