I wanna share with you some exerpts from one of the writings of Walker Percy


Christ here's my discovery. You have got hold of the wrong absolutes and infinities.
God as absolute? God as infinity? I don't even understand the words. I'll tell you what's absolute and infinite.

Loving a woman.

But how would you know? You see, your church knows what its' doing; Rule out one absolute so you have to look for another.

Do you know what it is like to be a self-centered not unhappy man who leads a tolerable finite life, works, eats, drinks, hunts, sleeps, then one fine day discovers that the great starry heavens have opened to him and his heart is bursting with it.

It? She. Her. Woman. Not a category, not a sex, not one of two sexes, a human female creature, but an infinity.

What else is infinity but a woman become meat and drink to you, life and your heart's own music,the air you breathe? Just be here is to live and have your soul's own self. Just to open your mouth on the skin of her back. What joy just to wake up with her beside you in the morning.

I didn't know there was such happiness.

But there is dark converse: Not having her is not breathing. I'm not kidding. I couldn't get my breathe without her.

What else is a man dame for but this? I can see you agree about love but you look somewhat ironic. Are we talking about two different things? In anycase there's a catch.

Love is infinite happiness. Losing it is infinite unhappiness.

Just When...

Just when you think that your tired of your job,think again. Think of the million people just here in Metro Manila alone who are jobless. Think about how your job helps you with your daily spendings and other needs.

When you feel burnt out, take a time to relax. Once a month or twice a week won't hurt. Schedule something fun to do and something to look forward to at the end of your work week.

Just when you feel your mother or father or sister see every bit of wrong you do, think of it as their concern for you, their deepest and unconditional love for you. Your family will never do you wrong.

Just when you feel a friend or an acquaintance is sometimes too proud of her/his looks or of her/his abilities, letting you down, always feeling superior about themselves. Although sometimes it may be really irritating and way beyond border, remind yourself that people are different and there is always a reason for everybody's behavior.

Just when you feel low, look back and remember the happy moments and great achievements you have. Think of your old smiles. If you need an outlet to it go then go find that outlet. Let it be a sport or a hobby. Try to break a plate,scream, dance, drink but not so much that you can be be labeled an alcoholic. Just feel it, express it then release it. Let go!

Just when you feel that your life is falling apart and all your efforts fails. Try to relax and remind yourself that maybe the time isn't just right. Strive harder or take it easy. Talk to a friend or a loved one, ask anyone who can help you out with your frustrations. Do something you love. Relax, everything will fall into place don't be too comfortable though and just let be, if you want something so much you will try your best to achieve it. Keep true to your words and what you believe in. Keep your dignity.

God Want Me To Tell You...

What he had told me.

It shall be well with you this year.
No matter how much your enemies try,
this year they will not succeed.
You have been destined to make it and
you shall surely achieve all your goals this year.
For the remaining months of the year, all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will be incoming in abundance.
Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings, sorrows, and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you.
He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY.
He will never let you down.
I knocked at heaven' s door this morning, God asked me... My child, what
can I do for you?
And I said, Father, please protect and bless the person
reading this message... God smiled and answered... Request granted.
If you believe, just by reading and sharing and praying you have succeeded .

A Touching Story from Someone Who is Always Busy

I got this wonderful e-mail and it's something I want to share with everyone, it's something inspiring, it picked me up when I was down. A lot of us rarely read forwarded message, but I do. I hope you read on and pick something to change your gloomy mood if you are in one like I was. It's very touching.



A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"

DAD: "Yeah sure, what it is?" replied the man.
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.

SON: "I just want to know.. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make $20.00 an hour."
SON: "Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow $10.00 ?"

The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behaviour."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that
$10.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you asleep, son?" He asked.
"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier" said the man.
"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $10.00 you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.
"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.
"Daddy, I have $20.00 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?

Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.
It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

Do remember to share that $20.00 worth of your time with someone you love.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days.
But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.
