Comfort Foods

Wikipedia described the term comfort food as to a style of familiar, simple food or drink that is usually home-cooked, or consumed in informal restaurants. Comfort food is typically inexpensive, uncomplicated, and easy to prepare. Many people turn to comfort food for familiarity, emotional security, or special reward.

A rainbow of joy in every cup. This was the claim of the new 3-in-one milk tea mix by Lipton, and true to it's claim instantaneously I felt heavenly. Every sip just takes me to some place quiet and calming, where there is a clear blue sky, gentle cool breeze brushing against my hair. Every sip is just an orgasmic experience. I am not exaggerating, try it and see for yourself. (But of course it depends if you are a tea or coffee person, me I appreciate both, this one is exceptional!)

Comfort Food = food that is simply prepared and gives a sense of well being.

This is my ultimate comfort food! McDonald's french fries! Just a helping of it gets me back into my perky self again and destresses me. How? I don't know either but it's tried and tested, ask my man. LOL!
If there is no McD near me and I too lazy to zip to the closest one I make my own fries from fresh potatoes yummy like what I did today!

Strawberry sundae's, all types of cold crepe, strawberries, doublecheese burger or bigmac and chocolates also makes the list of my comfort foods although I don't look for them as much as I crave for french fries to fill my psychological gastronomic needs. LOL!

How about you what is your comfort food?

Male Bashing

I know this is not nice but well I did say that I will post things that made me laugh and today too bad for the men out there because it's women's month I will be a bit feminist in this post (sorry guys you will have your day to bash us women someday! but not in here! LMAO!)

To all male readers excuse this post but I think it will make you laugh to and realise there is a stench of truth in these jokes. Also, I just want to give a little laugh to all the women out there who feel a bit stressed about the men in their lives that pulls them down. Peace!

Laugh at yourself first, before anyone else can.

"How to impress a woman ?
Compliment her, cuddle her, kiss her, caress her, love her, stroke her, tease her, comfort her, protect her, hug her, hold her, spend money on her, wine and dine her, buy things for her, listen to her, care for her, stand by her, support her, buy flowers for her, go to the ends of the earth for her...
How to impress a man ?
Show up naked. Bring beer."
---
Man: "God, why did you make woman so beautiful ?"
God: "So you would love her."
Man: "But God, why did you make her so dumb ?"
God: "So she would love you."
---
"Diamonds are a girl's best friends.
Dogs are man's best friend.
So which is the dumber sex ?"
---
"Ever notice how many of women's problems can be traced to the male gender ?
— MENstruation,
— MENopause,
— MENtal breakdown,
— GUYnecology,
— HIMmorrhoids..."
---
"Q: Why do men have pet names for their penises ?
A: Because they don't like to take orders from a stranger."
---
"Q: What do men and women have in common ?
A: They both distrust men."
---
"Q: How can you tell the difference between men's real gifts and their guilt gifts ?
A: Guilt gifts are nicer."

Why Do Men Get Jealous So Easily?

Many words can be used to describe Men as a species. "Horny" is one of them. As is "Gullible", "Egotistical", and "Single-Minded" (Yes I know that is two words stuck together. You don't need to point that out). But one word that almost always applies when talking about men, is the word "Hypocritical".

You see, A man will stare at a hundred different girls while standing there with his girlfriend. That same man will openly drool over the attractive waitresses breasts as she bends over to take his order. Yet, if that man's girlfriend takes so much as one passing glance at an attractive male waiter's ass... well... that man will pitch a fit. The question before us today is, Why will a man that openly appreciates the bodies of other females get angry when his girlfriend looks at another man? The answer is actually really simple... Because the woman is his property.

Now wait a minute. Before you women get ready to send me an angry letter laced with death-threats, just hear me out.

Men, for as long as anyone can remember, have been territorial animals. It started with land. Men would seek out what land they want, fight to get it, then they make jackasses of themselves trying to defend it until some larger man comes along and takes it from them.

Eventually, due to some bad judgment-calls, men started to think of women as property. The same rules that applied to land were carried over. A man would seek out what woman he wanted, he would fight to get her, then he would make a jackass out of himself trying to keep her until some "larger" man shows up and shows that woman that the first man had a small penis.

Yup. That's right. Why don't men like their women looking at other men? We have small penises. We know we have small penises, and we know that the other guy you are staring at has a larger penis then we do. We think that if you look at him long enough, you will realize how much larger a penis he has, and leave us to be with him... and his penis... make sense? Good. Glad I could be of some assistance.

To all women out there:

Life is a beach!

Summer is my most favorite time of the year! Why? Look at that picture doesn't it make you feel oh so warm and relaxed? I love the beach! Growing up in the city a get-away from the smoggy, busy city life is the most rewarding time of the year for me. Seeing the sunset and sunrise, the calming sound of the waves, getting wet all day, sunbathing, playing with the sand, getting half-naked and people don't mind even if you have the most ridiculous body shape, swimming, swimming along with the fishes and a laid back day when everything stops and you are just one with nature.

Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.

Hopefully I will be beach hoping again this year my destination: La Union, Anawangin and Bali! I'm so excited! (BTW those pics were taken in Puerto Princesa Palawan, Subic and Puerto Galera last year (April-June 2007)

Places to visit this summer in the Philippines

Puerto Princesa, Palawan
If you want to experience Paradise don't think twice this is the perfect destination for you. I fell inlove with this place I love every second I spent in there.

Reason to go here:
1) It's the epitomy of Paradise
2) Experience an underground river and marvel inside the long strech of the cave on a boat on a river.
3) If you want to meet Nemo (clownfish) Dory (angelfish) , watch starfish race each other, zebra fish, play with live jellyfish, and face to face with the most dangerous poisonous fish in the world the stonefish and see a giant clam come to this place!
4) Many more reasons to go there just take a peek at those pics and you know I'm not kidding!

There are lots of places that you can visit in Palawan and this is just one stop. If you have a week to spare for a vacation galore, explore Palawan, they have to most wonderful marine life great for scubba diving. Make sure to bring an underwater camera. I wish I had one, even here in Puerto Princesa and the little snorkeling we did in some island we saw enough marine life I have never seen before and it's wonderful! (Pics taken June 2007)

Samar
Get a plane from Manila to Tacloban and hire a van that will take you to Eastern Samar from the airport. There is no airport in Samar. Vans are reasonably priced just tell them if you want to hire them for drop-off and pick-up only or for a couple of days. A reasonable price is P2,000 a day, the tip is up to you.

You need your own automobile to go in this resort and any other resort here in Samar you want to go to, there are no cabs and you don't want to squeeze yourself in the public transport.

There are lots of things you can do and enjoy in this beautiful resort (I wish I didn't have memory gap so I could remember the name, but you can ask for the Samar tourist authority, they know it so well!) you can go kayaking, jetski (yes they have jetski!), boating, swim, etc. anything you can think of to do in a beach resort. They have nice rooms and villas too!

Taal Volcano, Tagaytay, Philippines
Why go to Taal Volcano?
1) If you want to be in an island on a lake on an island in a lake on an island on an ocean (Pacific Ocean)?
2) If you want to see the smallest active volcano in the world?
3) If you want to get up close to one of the 16 Decade Volcanoes in the world?

Taal is located at Talisay, Batangas just 2 hours away from the busy Manila so you can go there for a weekend get-away and stay in one of the cozy hotels and lodges in Tagaytay overlooking the beautiful volcano.

There's also Boracay, Baguio, Cebu, Bohol, BATANES, Manila Ocean Park, so many more ask me and I'll tell you where you should go! (Not much time to make slides of my other trips here in my own country.

Something amazing

This is one of the most amazing things I've seen today. How a dog a cat and a rat get along so well in this video is so uplifting. Watch to see what I mean!

Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well. Mahatma Gandhi

Because harmony makes small things grow, lack of it makes great things decay.

Learn

Happiness is a changeable thing it’s not permanent. The state of happiness shifts from year to year, month to month, day to day. Everyone experience highs and lows at different moments it’s near impossible to stay happy all the time. Don’t expect to be happy all the time or you will get disappointed. Even a happy person has moments of sorrow and doubts. It’s simply not realistic or even possible to be happy and thankful all the time, after all we are just human.

A happy person is one who has no cares at all; a cheerful person is one who has cares but doesn't let them get her down.

No matter how uncontrollable things are in your life now, don’t ever let it get you down. Everything in life is fleeting, instead of being overly serious, it will be best to think positively and if we do not find something pleasant at the moment, at least we find something new. Discovering new things is always good it means you are evolving and growing. All events are blessings given to us to learn from.
