LOVE

The definition of happiness varies from one person to another but generally everyone would agree that happiness lies not just on external and superficial factors. To me love contributes a major part in every person’s happiness.

Love is the most powerful emotion in the world that can summon all other basic instinct of every human ranging from anger, fear, sadness and happiness.

To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering, one must not love. But then, one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer; not to love is to suffer; to suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be happy, one must love or love to suffer or suffer from too much happiness.

What makes life worth living is the knowledge that one day you will wake up and find the person that makes you happier than anything in the whole world can. So don't ever lose hope and give up, everything turns out okay and the good guys always wins.

My pleasures

The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions – the little soon-forgotten charities of a kiss or smile, a kind look or heartfelt compliment.

Samuel Taylor Coleridge, poet (1772-1834)

Everytime I witness my daughter's milestones, when she gives me loving looks and sweet kisses and hugs, when she and my kitty plays, hearing my mom's satisfaction, feeling love from a distance, friends reassuring words, cooking, eating, getting enough sleep, a beautiful sunrise, full moon, stary nights, shopping, meeting friends, notes from long-time-no-hear friends, words of appreciation and praise from friends, family, bosses and former bosses, and workmates, nice pictures, surfing the net, talking to friends, watching tv, listening to music, a nice cup of coffee in the morning... all these makes me happy ... and these are just a few of the long list of things I can think about that makes me happy.

To find delight in our daily lives is very easy, we don't have to look very far. It exist where we are right now.

How about you, what makes you happy?

SMILE!

Happiness is contagious,

when you reflect happiness

all others around you

catch the happy bug

and become happy too.

For most of us, happiness is just barely out of reach. We know we can achieve it. It is just a couple "if only's" away. We tell ourselves, "If only _____, then I'd be happy. I could relax." Therefore, we pursue what we feel is missing - confident in the knowledge that while we are not happy right now, we will be soon. When the time comes that we achieved that “if’s” we we’re after again we come to the point of telling ourselves again something still feels missing. New "if only's" pops up to replace the old ones. Again, we are caught in a race with a moving finish line. Contentment is more elusive than we had originally thought. Eventually, if we want to be happy, we must come to grips with an important fact. That we have been fooling ourselves. Contentment, it turns out, is not a destination. Rather, it is a manner of traveling. If we cannot feel it today, we will not find it tomorrow.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. Be happy now!
