True Friends

Old friends, the one you met when you were still learning about yourself, the friends you have when you still have an innocent view of the world, when you used to think you already know everything and later on in life discovered you know so little. Trusted true friends, they are the real treasure in one persons life.

I know you have heard of this famous friendship quotation “Friends are like stars, you don’t always see them but you know they are there.” This is so true in my personal experience. I met a lot of new friends going through my everyday life but honestly, nobody can beat the friends I have since high school. They are the bestest (yeah I invented the word because it’s better than best!) friends I’ve ever met in my entire life. We don't always see each other, but when we do, it's like we've never part and we just pick-up where we have left and do some catching up.

After parting in high school after graduation, we separated ways, as much as we not want to we just have to move on with our lives and find our place in this world. Every year we used to have re-unions because we are just so attached to each other that we can’t bare not see each other even just once a year to catch up and rekindle old times. A few years after, some are graduating in college, some got married, some moved to another country for work, the re-unions stopped, but that didn’t stop the friendship we have. We still manage to get in-touch with each other one-way-or-the-other.

This Saturday, after 2 years not seeing each other, aside from occasional e-mail, phone calls, text messages when there is some important occasion like birthday’s, baptismal, weddings, Christmas or New Years or even deaths, I met up with three of my bestest best friend in the whole wide world and it feels great.

We rekindled old times when we were young and innocent. The world as we view it more than 15 years ago is so different from the world we are living right now.
It was an uplifting moment to be with old friends. They are like a refreshing drink of fresh fruit juice during a walk on a hot and humid day outside; they are like a bridge over troubled water.

I feel like singing; “When your weary, feeling small. When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all. I’m on your side, when times get rough, and friends just can’t be found. Like a bridge over troubled water. I will lay me down”. Hahahahahaha! I was singing it as I typed it. I am just on a real high right now, like I’m invigorated by the warmth and love or true friends, true friends that will stand the test of time.

We’ve been through lots, my high school best friends. Some remarkable experience included running bare-foot during our prom night wearing our gowns because we were being chased by some crazy young out-of-school punks who are member of some fraternity. We have experienced being called to the school director’s office because my friends cause a lot of distress on the entire school when we have petite quarrels over crushes and boyfriends. We would boycott the school and classes will be suspended for the whole day. Wearing the same color and style of accessories, like headbands, fans, bags, bracelets, earrings and scarves.

Yesterday, we browsed over some old pictures and goodness we have the laugh of our lives looking at how goofy, funny, “ugly” looking we were during those times. We read an autograph notebook Terry found while sorting her stuffs and it’s so funny to realize our wrong grammars and spellings and our mushy ways.It was a fun blast from the past that we had. It’s so great. What’s real great is that despite growing and moving on our own lives, we didn’t grow apart but become more close to each other despite being physically apart. We are godparents of each others children. We were present for every milestone in everyone’s lives. Wedding, Births and Deaths included.

Now that we are all parents of our own children, we are more bonded because we know the feeling and we understand life more than we did before and we can just laugh at our past, our corny high school times. We now confide more seriously with each other, advise each other in a wiser point of view and not just some teeny bopper, “tweetums” manner.

This is so appropriate:

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometim! es they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.!

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, my Best Friends, you are all here for a reason, all season and will stay for a lifetime.

Fun Tagging Along

Don't listen to anyone who tells you that you can't do this or that. That's nonsense. Make up your mind, you'll never use crutches or a stick, then have a go at everything. Go to school; join in all the games you can. Go anywhere you want to. But never, never let them persuade you that things are too difficult or impossible.

I’m so glad to get to know some nice and fun people at Blog Catalog. The_Mrs tagged me with this funtagged that according to her post promises more traffic and higher Technorati ratings. Honestly, like her I don’t understand the rating things but well I agree if this means people come here in and letting me know that I am not rambling to my self, is indeed a real good thing. I raise my glass at that.
How to do the tagging:

Rules:
1. Copy all the links below and replace your blog beside the appropriate letter. For example if your blog name starts with the letter "D" then replace the link beside "D" with yours, and put the replaced link at the bottom of the list. Also add the person who tagged you at the bottom of the list.
2. Tag at least 5 people and encourage them to take part of the game - tag blogs only and only those without bad rated material like pornographic, violence, racism etc.

My List:
A acowboyswife.com
B bloggingcents.com
C chatbugkaren.com

Happy Easter! (Tag You are It!)

The resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what my circumstances.

Robert Flatt

My first ever tag! Thanks to Pinay Jade I have no idea how to make links inside the post though so please excuse.

Firstly, here are the rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog
2. Share seven facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird
3. Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Weird / Random things about Earthlingorgeous

1. I like vinegar. Whatever I am eating there’s always a saucer of vinegar beside me. Yummy gets my appetite going.
2. I like to eat Milo sandwich. Milo is a powdered chocolate malt drink by Nestle.
3. I am scared of clowns.
4. I don’t drive and I don’t want to drive, I just want to be a passenger or at least someone drive for me.
5. My favorite part of doing the laundry is rinsing time. I love to get wet and wild! LOL! Using my favorite fabric conditioner, the earth friendly Downy 1 Banlaw!
6. I forget names easily, mostly random people that I met in person. Even if I have still photos with this person my head hurts to remember their name, it will take months before I remember the name, or another person reminding me of their names. A real awful and shameful experience honestly. Reason why sometimes people think I’m a snob but actually just too shy to talk to someone I know but I can’t remember the name.
7. I think I’m a very serious person. You can’t joke around me because I believe jokes are half meant. Yeah that bad! I think… I shouldn’t think anymore. What do you think?

Now I’m tagging enthusiastic new friends I made here in Blogger: Prily, LJ, Donald, Lisa, Cooper, Zunnur, Kiran and the Go! Smell flower smellers!

A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.
